Assistant Surveyor - Sheffield

To assist in the reporting of the financial status of our new build developments spread across our three operating regions, via the valuation process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Duties/Activities

  • To ensure that all the regions are aware of sites requiring a valuation in the period and in accordance with the programme issued by the Group Commercial Director.
  • To assist were necessary in the completion of a site progress and stock take on site if regions require any assistance.
  • To ensure that the correct information is supplied by the regions to enable a valuation to be completed.
  • Updating and preparation of the valuation workbooks for the valuations in the period.
  • Input of period progress, provided by the regions, into the valuation work book.
  • Valuations of stock on site from the stocktake and input into the valuation workbook.
  • Importing period cost from COINS into the Excel valuation workbook.
  • The coding up of materials accruals and entry into the valuation workbook.
  • The full analysis of the variances in the period, making any cost to complete forecasts or savings as is required to complete the development.
  • To provide analysis of all dayworks and variations for use by the management team
  • To issue the valuation once complete for approval by the regional team.
  • To issue the valuation, once signed off by the regional, for approval of the Group Commercial Director
  • The updating of the sales values in the period for the actual plots completed to date.
  • The preparation and issue of journal requests for approval and issue by the Senior Commercial Manager.
  • To compile various reports for issue to region, group and board.
  • To ensure all the above is completed strictly in accordance to the timetable and key dates are all met.

Typist/Receptionist - Wakefield

PURPOSE OF JOB

 The role will be responsible for maintaining a professional and efficient Reception area and to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Regional Director and other departments as required.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Taking all external telephone calls, transferring, diverting and taking messages

  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Organising and managing meeting rooms
  • Managing catering, travel and hotel bookings
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • Act as “point of contact” for the region
  • Providing administrative support as and when required to the regional team
  • Setting up of standard documentations and templates
  • Maintaining office notice boards, and office communications/announcements
  • Monitor and update systems
  • Setting up and maintaining filing systems
  • Ordering and replenishing stationery and office consumables
  • Photocopying and scanning documentation
  • Help with other day to day duties as required for the efficient operation of the region
  • Work carefully at all times to maximise safety of colleagues and adhere to safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Construction Operations Apprentice - Bury

If you know that construction is what you want to do, but you're not 100% sure how to get into the industry then you should consider applying for a Construction Operations Apprenticeship with us. You will have the opportunity to combine studying for a Level 3 NVQ in Construction Contracting Operations over two years, with the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience in a number of construction related operations based in one of our regional offices.

Marketing Assistant - Sheffield

Gleeson Homes and Regeneration the house building company within MJ Gleeson plc are now seeking a Marketing Assistant to be based at our Head Office in Sheffield.

This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop in all areas of marketing within a fast paced Marketing Department. 

Key Responsbilities 

Answer and field telephone calls on marketing related issues

 Update and publish the show home schedule

 Ensure property listings on the Gleeson website, Rightmove, SmartNewHomes, Zoopla and HomeBuy agent websites are correct and to periodically refresh the listing with rotating imagery and wording

To proof read copies of adverts and check specific information and branding is correct. To co-ordinate with Sales Managers/Directors for amendments.  Coordinate with the graphic designer to amend artwork and issue for final approval.

 Issue the advertising schedule to sales managers and negotiators

 Distribute press cuttings to each Regional Office and update the Head Office notice board

 Upload press releases, trading updates or other information as necessary to both Homes and MJ website

 Organise photography of new show homes and street scenes and before and after aerial shots

 Maintain the Image Library and issue images to property portals as required

 Ordering Safety Induction Cards

 Coordination and ordering of Sales Negotiator uniform

 Distribution of press releases to local press and internally

 Collating statistics from online advertising and portal results for use in Marketing Reports

 Updating and distributing resional development maps

 Maintaining advertising schedules.  New format to include all aspects of marketing

Collating visitor source of enquiry forms and updating spread sheet

Assist the Marketing Co-ordinator (or manage in the absence of) with:-

 Arranging interviews and photographs for ‘Happy Buyers’

Sales Administrator - Wakefield

Gleeson Homes are seeking a Sales Administrator to join our regional team based in our new Wakefield office.

Reporting to the regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for providing sales administration support for a busy regional office.  You will have daily contact with all our sales negotiators throughout the developments in the East and West Yorshire regions and will be key to supporting them and the Sales Manager throughout the sales process liaising with estate agents, solicitors and purchasers to ensure our customers’ needs are met.

The role is ideally suited to a highly organised individual with good interpersonal skills, who enjoys working as part of a team.

Previous experience in a similar role and/or an understanding of the house buying process is desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Accurately recording information
  • Managing the HCA IMS system
  • Updating spreadsheets
  • Fielding enquiries from the website
  • Sending out brochures
  • Ensure plot files are updated with correspondence
  • Produce final inspection log
  • Produce nine month inspection log
  • Send out relevant customer letters throughout the reservation stages
  • Answer initial telephone enquiries
  • Process customer extras and liaise with Commercial and Accounts regarding quotations and payments
  • Typing and circulating sales correspondence
  • Arranging contracts and transfers for signature
  • Receiving exchange and completion notifications from solicitors and informing sales staff accordingly
  • Printing & distributing the Home Owners Manual
  • Assist with customer care management as required
  • To provide assistance and support to the Regional Director as required 
  • Co-ordinate stationery requests for sales staff

Reporting to our Sales Director & Regional Director, you will be responsible for the management of the sales team across East and West Yorkshire, ensuring set targets for each development are met, therefore flexibility and the ability to travel are essential.

This role is ideally suited to a proven, sales driven, passionate and conscientious individual who relishes a certain degree of autonomy, whilst being an integral and valued member of the regional team.

Previous sales experience of effectively selling and managing new homes is essential.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Produce and keep updated weekly sales reports
  • Ensure sales staff chase through reservations to exchange and completion

  • Managing the Sales Administrator
  • Liaising with construction regarding CML and move in dates
  • Checking contract documentation
